The Project ‘Laboratory of Policies and Practices for Social Development in Higher Education’ (ACCES4ALL), focuses on promoting education and social inclusion in the university of those less represented groups as well as unusual students in the European context, proposing instruments and strategies to achieve it. It is thus related to two of the main priorities of Europe 2020: (1) smart growth: encouraging people to learn, creating new services that help redirect social challenges and the use of ICT; and (2) inclusive growth: increasing the number of citizens with tertiary education and reducing the percentage of people at risk of poverty and social exclusion. This contribution aims to be a synthesis of the Project and its most significant contributions, trying to give an overview of everything done and achieved, while also reporting on the mechanisms that allow access to the accumulated knowledge. It is not only about disseminating the Project and its products but also about encouraging and giving tools to university directors and managers to improve their intervention processes in the topic addressed. The ultimate goal is to contribute to making the balance between quality and equity in university systems a reality. The document can and should be viewed, thus, as a general approach to the improvements that can be made in organizational processes to improve the quality of equity, advising to delve deeper into the aspects that are of interest based on the documentation generated and referenced in text. Everything done and achieved would not have been possible without the involvement of all the people participating in the Project, the institutions that have given them support and the resources provided by the European Union. To all of them, our gratitude and our willingness to receive the contributions that are considered appropriate or the questions that they want to raise.
