The progressive autonomy of educational centers has enabled the transfer from the educational system of organizational and pedagogical competencies. The existence of School Councils, the elaboration of educational and curricular projects, a certain economic autonomy or other realizations, are an expression of the modifications that the permitted autonomy has imposed both on the scope of the institutional plans and on the structures or of the relational system. The commitment of the centers to the educational community is only possible to reinforce, within the framework of a greater curricular autonomy, the cooperative work of the teacher. Therefore, it is still possible to do so, in addition to improving working conditions (more time, more training and more resources for the new tasks that are imposed), to promote human dynamics that provide support and guidance. The clear reference to the leaders, as key elements that have encapsulated the promotion of the canvi and the millora, seems essential here. In addressing the performance of the Prefecture of Studies, at the seves competencies and academic functions, we try to combine some minimal conceptual and situational references, attesting the scarce literature existing in our country, with an applied development aimed at providing aid for daily activities.
