We assume as the responsibility of the Public Administration the duty to guarantee the maximum efficiency of the resources that society places at its disposal, as well as to promote the full personal and professional development of its employees. In this sense, the Center for Legal Studies and Specialized Training (CEJFE) of the Generalitat of Catalonia undertook the development of the Compartim program in 2005 with the aim of organizing and structuring the different Communities of Practice (CoP) that, informally, They were already active within the Department of Justice. During nine years of activity, this Compartim program has involved more than 1,500 professionals, has allowed 145 knowledge products to see the light and has contributed to generating eight publications that collect the experience and present it so that other institutions can learn from it. and implement similar strategies. In parallel to the development of these CoPs, understood as spaces in which professionals share their interests and knowledge in order to achieve a common objective that serves to improve the organization, results of studies have appeared that confirm that the participants in them They informally learn new knowledge, skills and ways of working. The purpose of this study is to assess the factors that influence the process of transfer to the workplace of the learning acquired through communities of professional practice in Public Administration. The results obtained allow us to measure the impact of the organizational variables, the design of the CoPs and the participants themselves who intervene within the CoPs. Likewise, they serve to guide management on how to optimize the work context to facilitate the transfer of learning, and increase its impact on professional performance and the organization.
