Organizations interested in having professionals updated and prepared for the exercise of the six functions at times that have learned the importance of offering countries formats different from traditional training environments. They understand that it is possible to learn in training institutions, but also in natural spaces, at work or through social networks and, for this reason, they facilitate face-to-face and virtual spaces that allow interaction and collaborative work. This text summarizes the contributions presented in the framework of the IV International EDO Congress focused on “Learning situated and learning connected: implications for work”. Organizations from 22 capitols, more than 200 specialists present the results obtained from reflection, experience and research on topics linked to organizational development, connection management, informal learning, connected and situated learning and the application of new formative formatives in traditional contexts. The topicality of the topics, the quality of the authors and the diversity of the reference contexts enhance the value of the text as a reference work on the topics discussed. Furthermore, it provides continuity and broad perspectives regarding the important contributions made to the previous EDO International Congresses of the years 2010, 2012 and 2014, also available from the Wolters Kluwer editorial sources.
