XIV International Congress of the Organization of Educational Institutions (CIOIE)

On November 24, 25 and 26, the XIV International Congress of the Organization of Educational Institutions (CIOIE 2016) will take place under the theme “Globalization and Educational Institutions”.

As part of the Congress, the following two symposia will be presented by the EDO group:

The first will take place on November 25 entitled “Organizational aspects for intervention with vulnerable groups. It is coordinated by Joaquín Gairín (EDO-UAB), and with the participation of Carme Armengol EDO-UAB), Aleix Barrera-Corominas (EDO-UAB), Inmaculada Gómez-Jarabo (Complutense University of Madrid), Asunción Manzanares (University of Castilla la Mancha), Cristina Mercader (EDO-UAB), José Luís Muñoz (EDO-UAB) and Primitiu Sánchez (Complutense University of Madrid), the purpose of the contribution is to deepen the specific intervention methodologies and strategies related with vulnerable groups, providing tools to improve the educational system and institutions.

The contributions presented will focus on post-compulsory education levels, to understand that this is where the challenge lies in expanding the possibilities of training and promotion of vulnerable groups. And they are mainly part of the contributions of several international and national projects (ACCESSIONS, IDEAS; CHALLENGES) developed within the EDO research group.

The second symposium will take place on November 26 entitled “ICT in educational contexts: new organizational and professional challenges”. It is coordinated by Diego Castro (EDO-UAB), and with the participation of Anna Díaz (EDO-UAB), Josep Maria Silva (Dept. of Education, Generalitat de Catalunya) and Pablo Sánchez (O. De Castilla-la Mancha ), the symposium is made up of 4 contributions that break down the organizational challenges of the use of ICT in schools, from the most general to the most particular.
