Symposium of the ACCEDES project at the Ibero-American Congress of Science, Technology, Innovation and Education

The symposium will be held in the framework of the Iberoamerican Congress on Science, Technology, Innovation and Education to be held in Buenos Aires from 12 to 14 November 2014.

The ACCEDES Project funded by the European Commission and the participating directly more than 30 institutions from 18 countries, has developed and validated a model for three years and strategies to identify and support vulnerable groups in the Latin American university: parallel, it has settled a support network that facilitates the dissemination and sustainability of the proposal, while has supported other projects affecting the same subject.

This symposium promotes the exchange of experiences and debate from presentations focused on a model with intervention strategies and their application to three vulnerable groups. ry and contribute to the purpose of the project focused on raising Goals Educativas2021 educational equity in the region and get more free and democratic societies. It is also consistent with the proposal for discussion document “Science, technology and innovation for development and social cohesion”, a program aimed at promoting science and technology for sustainable development, equity and social cohesion.

The contributions presented in it are:

  • The attention to minorities: research in distance education. By Marina Soligo and Marcia Lopes Reis (UNIP, UNESP, Brasil)
  • Attention to non-regular students. By Sebastián Donoso Díaz (UTalca, Chile)
