On November 19, Dr. Sílvia Blanch (ERIFE) and Dra. Gemma París (CRiEDO) will share in the multiplier event the development of the Interstice project. Encounters between artists, children and educators, showing some of the intellectual results they are creating with partners from the United Kingdom, Italy, Norway and Catalonia. Mainly, they will explain how the UAB has developed research to evaluate the peer learning methodology between artists and teachers designed between the LaSala theater in Sabadell and the University of Stavanger (Norway). They will also show how the Interstice project has developed a university training involving professional performing and visual arts artists in the initial training of teachers at the UAB and the other partner universities in order to incorporate aesthetic experiences and artistic thinking in the training as educators. Finally, they will show a fragment of one of the audiovisual documentaries that each partner has produced as open material, with the aim of sharing collaboration strategies between the artistic and educational fields with professionals from cultural institutions and educational institutions that will attend the event.
The project aims to improve the training of university students developing to be teachers of Early Childhood Education and Primary Education by incorporating innovative experiences that intertwine art and education through learning collaborative between students, artists, teachers and children. These innovations promote inclusive creative artistic experiences for university students to have an impact on the child population, especially those who are more vulnerable and who have fewer opportunities to experience quality proposals. The artist and co-IP of the project will explore the links and contaminations between art and education, which enable co-creation of peer-to-peer learning. It will present Espai C, as a pioneering project that constitutes the starting points of the original idea of the INTERSTICE project. The main objectives of the INTERSTICE projects will be announced, and some preliminary results and progress of the intellectual results will be discussed.
