On Thursday, November 10, at 6:00 p.m., the CRiEDO inauguration ceremony will take place at the Faculty of Education Sciences of the UAB. Our center, which gathers the experience and trajectory of the EDO group for more than 30 years, is an academic institution dedicated to the analysis and development of organizations linked to training and education. The vice-rector of Quality of the UAB, Tatiana Rovira Faixa, the director of the CRiEDO center, Joaquín Gairín Sallán, and the Secretary of Educational Transformation of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Núria Mora Lorente, will attend.
The international expert in educational leadership Beatriz Pont Ferrer, from the International Institute of Educational Planning of UNESCO, will deliver the conference “Leading educational change: key skills for improvement”. Throughout her career, Beatriz Pont has worked and published on education policies, educational change and educational leadership in countries around the world. He has also worked at the OECD, from where he launched and led support for educational change in OECD countries. He has worked with many different countries accompanying them in their reform and school improvement efforts. She has been a researcher for the Economic and Social Council of the Government of Spain. She holds a doctorate in Political Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid and a master’s degree in International Relations from Columbia University. She has an honorary doctorate from the University of Sheffield Hallam (United Kingdom). She is a professor of comparative education policy in Paris. He has given international conferences on educational change and leadership.
After Beatriz Pont’s conference, the round table “Educational leadership for change and the role of training” will take place, moderated by Maria del Mar Duran Bellonch (CRiEDO-UAB) and with the participation of the Secretary of Transformation Educator of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Núria Mora Lorente, the professor of the University of Lleida Isabel del Arco Bravo and the representative of the College of Pedagogy of Catalonia, Joan Gamero Gómez.
At the end of the event, the 1st CRiEDO Award for Innovation and Development of Educational and Training Institutions will be presented, which will be presented by Professor Gemma París Romia, from CRiEDO-UAB.
