The Conference “Educational practices informed by evidence for school inclusion” will be held on March 23 at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. It will be an opportunity to learn more about the EIPSI project – Evidence-informed practice for school inclusion. The project aims to improve student equity and inclusion through the use of evidence-based practices. The day will start with a presentation by Chris Brown, University of Warwick, who will talk about the importance of facilitating evidence-based educational practice for inclusion. Afterwards, the partners of the project will exhibit their main resources and products, and a space was created for the exchange of experiences between Catalan and Romanian schools involved in the project. Finally, the roles of educational agents in promoting the use of evidence in educational practice will be discussed.
The EIPSI project has a holistic approach that addresses three pillars: teacher capacity building, school development and stakeholder networking and awareness raising. The project consortium is made up of professionals from different areas of knowledge and experience, including research, teaching, policy formulation, teacher training, coaching, school development, school inspection and psychopedagogical and educational counselling, and come from five different countries and three types of institutions: higher education, public administration and professional association.
