In order to briefly describe the aim of this research project, we should say that it seeks to analyse what we are going to call the audio-visual training that is taught today, understood to be training that is directly related with the areas of artistic education: plastic and music. In principle, we believe that it could be susceptible to extensive improvement and therefore, following a preliminary analysis and diagnosis, the aim is to produce, present and establish proposals for innovation on the Infant and Primary education levels.

The audiovisual world is invading all of the spaces of the everyday lives of children, but they do not appear to be properly prepared to decode the messages. In modern artistic education, its widespread educational potentialities tend not to be exploited, and instead their use is limited to the didactic materials provided by publishers, whose educational value can be dubious.

One of the key points to this project will be permanent training of teachers and the creation of quality materials in order to achieve the objectives being proposed.

The aim is therefore to revise current approaches in our field in order to understand and rethink the situation, and thereby propose and act with innovation and improvements to education in mind.

The proposals will always be referred to pedagogic actions within the directives established by the organic laws that govern the modern education system.
