Jouliana Bosneva

Jouliana Bosneva is pursuing a PhD in Education at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Her research focuses on faculty and student digital competencies, professional development, and the integration of artificial intelligence in higher education. She works at a college in Boston, where she leads the Center for Teaching and Learning and supports faculty in strengthening their teaching practices, integrating technology, and designing effective learning experiences. She also holds advanced degrees in higher education, digital media, and instructional design.

Her interest in digital competence and AI-supported learning grew from working closely with faculty and adult learners, where she observed how gaps in digital skills affect confidence, engagement, and academic success. This motivated her commitment to understanding how institutions can better prepare educators and students for a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Through her research, she aims to develop practical strategies that reduce barriers to learning, strengthen inclusive and accessible teaching, and guide the ethical adoption of emerging technologies.
