Joana Rennó’s professional career has developed in the field of strategic management, especially within the Third Sector related to education and culture. Currently, as Director of Strategy and Implementation at the NGO Instituto iungo (iungo.org.br), she leads initiatives focused on the professional development of educators in Brazil, coordinating continuing education programs, partnerships with public school networks, and collaborations with institutions such as the University of São Paulo (USP), UNICEF, UNESCO, and Porticus.
Her doctoral research aims to analyze how teacher authorship strategies, context-based pedagogical practices, and peer learning communities contribute to the professional development of educators in the Brazilian Amazon, within the framework of the implementation of the Environmental, Sustainability, and Climate Education Policy in Pará. The goal is to propose guidelines for continuous teacher education in contexts of sociocultural diversity.
