EDO-UAB participates in the organization of the day of dissemination of results of the Xcelence project
On July 3rd was held in the Graduation Hall of the Faculty of Education Sciences the presentation of the results of Xcelence project, coordinated by Bertelsmann Foundation closely with the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The objective of this project has been to identify in the different degree of development of the professional academic orientation in the 50 centers that have participated in the project.
During the journey, thirty centers linked to the cooperation agreement between the Department of Education and the UAB, coordinated by Dr. Diego Castro, which objective is to investigate the application of the Orientation Competence Model SCAP, implemented in secondary schools of Catalonia.
The competence-oriented model is a tool that allows teams and centers their professional and educational development of school and center as an organization in its three dimensions: (1) ambit/matter; (2) tutorial action and (3) team culture. Each of these dimensions are specified in the criteria and indicators of the educational orientation that guide the analysis, reflection and pedagogical action of the center for continuous improvement.
