EDO-UAB members participate in teacher upgrading activities visiting educational centers of La Bressola in Perpignan (France).

On 30th and 31st of January, EDO members participate in training and upgrading activities visiting different centres of La Bressola in Perpignan. Specifically, they visit:

- Bressola Sant Galdric: The first school created by La Bressola in 1976 and the biggest of them all. It offers Maternal classes (from 2yo to 5yo), 2nd Cycle (6yo and 7yo) and 3rd Cycle (from 8yo to 10yo).
- Escola El Vernet: The second Bressola school created in 1999. It offers Maternal classes (from 2yo to 5yo), 2nd Cycle (6yo and 7yo) and 3rd Cycle (from 8yo to 10yo).
- Centre Pompeu Fabra – El Soler: Secondary institution that was born in 2003 to give continuity to teaching in Catalan and coordinated with Primary schools. It offers levels from 6a to 3a.

The economic grant from the award Jaume Vicens Vives helped them to visit unique centres from other zones in 2015, visiting educational organizations in the Basque Country and in 2016 rurales schools in Teruel, which were added to coordination and upgrading action carried on by the teachers of the organization unit of the Applied Pedagogy Department in UAB. Giving the good reception from the teachers, this is a self-funded activity, paid by their own.

Jaume Vicens Vives Award was conceded to this group of teachers in 2013 as a recognition of their more than 30 years of work for improving teaching and learning, creating equipment and resources for teaching, spreading good practices in seminars and congresses, updating contents of subjects and its adaptation to EHEA and research on practice publishing scientific articles about higher education. Part of the studies carried on by this group, has been linked to EDO in the last 15 years.
