University Professors Training

Profesores de la UAB se han desplazado esta semana a Panamá para dar inicio al Máster en Formación y gestión universitaria.
On February 20 began the first sessions of the Master in Formation and university management in the Specialised University of the Americas (UDELAS) located in Panama City.
The aim of the program is to analyse and improve organizational trends of the university teaching of today. The Master is directed and coordinated by teachers of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Joaquín Gairín and Diego Castro.
The UAB has signed an agreement with UDELAS to realize the Master that has a staff of eight teachers. It lasts 15 months and is attended by a blended learning mode that combines face-to-face meetings with online tracking with the virtual campus of the Autonomous University.
To obtain the degree is necessary to achieve 68 credits, 35 of which are acquired by taking the first postgraduate course in teacher training of the university professors made up of four modules: the university context, planning and teaching methodology, the teaching performance and the end post-gradual project. The 33 remaining credits are obtained by taking the second course of The Master divided into five modules: the challenges of the current University, academic structure, development and academic improvement, thematic composed of two modules, and the end work of the Master. During the development of the training program UDELAS teachers should elaborate a teaching innovation project that will be implemented in their routine work.
