Enrollment is now open for the UAB Microcredential in Generative Artificial Intelligence for Pedagogy Professionals.
The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona has opened the enrollment period for its Microcredential in Generative Artificial Intelligence for Pedagogy Professionals, an innovative training programme designed to equip education professionals with the knowledge and skills to use generative artificial intelligence tools in a critical, ethical, and effective way.
Promoted by CRiEDO in collaboration with the Col·legi Oficial de Pedagogia de Catalunya, the programme is aimed primarily at pedagogy professionals who wish to integrate generative AI into their professional practice to optimise the design, management, monitoring, and evaluation of educational projects.
The microcredential carries 6 ECTS credits, will be delivered online, and will begin on 4 December 2026, with completion scheduled for 31 March 2027. The programme offers 40 places, and the language of instruction will be Catalan, including an initial on-campus session scheduled for 10 December.
The course covers the fundamentals of generative artificial intelligence, its relationship with educators’ digital competence, and its applications in pedagogical and educational practice. It also explores strategies for the professional use of these technologies from a critical perspective that respects the ethical principles underpinning education.
By taking part in this programme, professionals will be able to integrate generative AI into their day-to-day work using sound pedagogical criteria, improving the efficiency of educational processes while fostering innovation in education.
