SEP Conference Proceedings

On 28th, 29th and 30th of June the 16th National Conference and the 7th Iberoamerican Conference of Pedagogy, “Democracy and Education in the 21st century”, took place in Madrid. In its context, EDO group had an important participation coordinating an strategic line: Change and improvement in educational systems and organizations. Direction, organization, management and evaluation of training institutions. This line was developed through the following activities:
- Lecture: “De-institutionalise education?”, given by Mariano Fernández Enguita (UCM).
- Symposium: “Quality models under discussion”, coordinated by Aurelio Villa (Afundación).
- Symposium: Organizational measures to promote attention to vulnerable groups, coordinated by Joaquín Gairín (UAB).
- Rounded table: Managers’ training under discussion, coordinated by Serafín Antúnez (UB).
- Symposium: Organization and development of guidance in educational centres, coordinated by Asunción Manzanares (UCLM).
- Symposium: Innovation in educational centres, coordinated by Isabel del Arco (UdL)
- Oral communications table related to the work line.

Currently, the Proceedings of the Conference are already available, which through 1300 pages gathers all contributions presented in the 13 work lines developed during three fulfilling days. Certainly, it is an essential material to know the state of art in Pedagogy in Iberoamerican countries, in an academic level as well as in the every-day life of educational centres.
