Members of EDO-UAB participated in the initial meeting of the Project funded by the Prevent Foundation: “Schools as healthy organizations. A guide for their development”.
The project, funded by the Prevent Prevention under the 12th call for R&D in Occupational Risk Prevention, has a total budget of 8.000€. Dr. Joaquín Gairín Sallán (EDO-UAB) is the coordinator of the project and other researchers from UAB, UdL, UPO and UdG are also involved: Dr. Diego Castro Ceacero (EDO-UAB), Dr. Anna Díaz Vicario (EDO-UAB), Dr. Carlos Casanova Gonzalvo (UdL), Dr. David Cobos Sanchiz (UPO), and Dr. Antonio Burgos García (UdG).The activities related to the project will be developed until July 2019.
The project has two-fold objective: first, analysing and defining the broad concept of healthy organisations in the particular context of schools, defining a model with its variables and indicators; and, second, designing and validating a guide for the practical implementation of the concept of healthy school organisations, which would include a self-assessment instrument and guidelines to help schools towards the implementation of the healthy school organisation approach. The project also includes the development of an exploratory study in order to know what the level of schools regarding safety and health is.
