Resources to undertake

EDO-UIC group presents a new website of their project “Investigate and Undertake: two competences for improving quality of teacher’s initial training”.
Last 1st of December it was presented a new website http://www.armifuic.eu/. This website was born from the work developed in the framework of the project “Investigate and Undertake: Two competences for improving quality of teacher’s initial training”, fund by ARMIF 2014 call from AGAUR (Ref. 2014ARMIF-00045), which coordinates Professor Mireia Tintoré Espuny, active member of EDO-UIC group.
This website intends a double goal: on one hand, to express the basic lines of the research project and make public their progresses and activities; on the other hand, to become a resource center with publications, references to training actions and tools for those teachers who wish to work with their pupils strategies linked to future teachers’ undertaking.
This project aspires to improve initial teachers training quality, without forget two serious areas: research and the ability to undertake. Last international reports claim attention about these because the areas are competences that make easier long life learning, knowledge transference, occupability, autonomy and self manage ability, and the ability to manage complexity.
Thus, the main goal of this project is to improve initial teachers training quality by developing and evaluating several strategies that make easier working with two kind of cross competences: scientific competences to assist questioning spirit, research spirit, inquiry spirit; and all competences related to innovation and creativity that can promote undertaking spirit and incorporation into the workforce.
To achieve these goals, it will be evaluated the level of development of competences such as “learning to research” and “learning to undertake”. In this last case, the evaluation will be based on four main indicators: personal autonomy; group and teamwork leadership; innovation, research and creativity; and ability to undertake in a social, business and educational level.
