Partnerships between School Centers and Socio-Educational Support Organizations around School Support

The study entitled Alliances between "Schools and Socio-Educational Support Organizations around School Support” has already been published and is available to the public. The four authors, all members of the EDO-UAB Group, are Edgar Iglesias Vidal, Saida López-Crespo, José Luís Muñoz Moreno and Anna Tarrés Vallespí.

The objective of the publication is to identify favorable conditions for the configuration of alliances between schools and socio-educational support organizations. To carry it out, the four authors have used a sequential research design and qualitative methods to analyze the perceptions of 16 socio-educational support organizations located between the United States and Spain and in relation to the establishment of solid alliances with schools.

The result of the study shows that the development of partnerships between institutions is mediated by the quality of school support, visions of professional teams, coordination between institutions and the evaluation of processes and actions. The study concludes that the achievement of educational success, in complex environments and socio-cultural diversity, requires collaboration between institutions to establish processes and collective actions.
