On October 28, a new online follow-up meeting of the European O4VET project took place with all the members of the team.

All the members of the D-EMIND project work team, coordinated by Patricia Olmos, and made up of other members of the CRiEDO-UAB and professors from the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (Portugal), the Universitaet Bremen (Germany), the Universitatea din Bucuresti (Romania) and the Aarhus Universitet (Denmark). This meeting of the partners of the project has served to monitor the general lines of work, adjust the work schedule and determine the profile that the secondary schools and vocational training centers that may participate in it should have.

The project “Orienta4VET - VET: an attractive and viable pathway. Innovation in VET through process guidance and flexible exploration and diversified opportunities in VET”, financed within the framework of the Erasmus + program and coordinated by Patricia Olmos, has the main objective of improving access to Vocational Training (FP), as well as contributing to improve the permanence of students with greater difficulties. The 4 operational objectives of the project are:

  • Make VET visible in each of the contexts, identifying and analyzing its main problems and its impact.
  • Identify the main barriers to VET in the territories and analyze their impact, taking as reference indicators the personal, educational/training, business and/or productive development of the territory, socio-labour or socio-professional.
  • Explore the potential and viability of alternative pathways that facilitate the diversification and flexibility of access to VET opportunities (or educational/training re-entry through professional pathways).
  • Implement appropriate guidance and tutorial action strategies in VET itineraries and analyze their impact.

The UAB will shortly select the centers in the Catalan context that will be able to participate by applying the activities proposed within the framework of the project. In this sense, all those centers that are interested in the project are invited to contact edo@uab.cat to show their availability.
