It has started training and updating workshops for automotive engineering students from Brazil, Mexico and Argentina.

On September 11, workshops for students linked to the ASCENT project began, the purpose of which is to bring the latest developments in the field of automotive engineering to students from the universities of Brazil, Mexico and Argentina. Under this perspective, the faculty of the 6 Latin American universities will be in charge of promoting, until the end of November, weekly activities that will provide new knowledge related to the installation of vehicle test benches, automotive lubrication, financial analysis of investment projects, skills soft, collaborative robotics and marketing.

Likewise, the development of the workshops will serve to present to the students the test benches that the different participating universities have equipped on their campuses with the financial support of the ASCENT project.

It should be considered that the workshops, initially planned to be developed in-person and intensively, based on the international mobility of students, will be developed in virtual mode in order to adjust the activities to the new regulations on international travel established by the participating countries for the prevention of COVID-19 infections.

ASCENT is financed within the framework of the Erasmus + Capacity Building program of the European Union, with a global budget of € 992,525, and coordinated by FH Joanneum, with the following universities participating as partners: FH Joanneum (Austria); Hochschule Aalen (Germany); South National University (Argentina) and National University of La Plata (Argentina); University of São Paulo - Polytechnic School and Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil); ITESM Monterrey - Campus Saltillo and Universidad Iberoamericana Mexico City (Mexico); AVL List Gmbh and the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
