Neurosciences and education

From 6^th to 10^th of February, a course “Neurosciences applied to education” will take place in the Autonomous University of Barcelona. This course offers two paths: Cognitive Neuro-stimulation and Cognitive Neuroscience of development. In the program, teachers from Educational Sciences from UAB will participate teaching subjects related to Psychological-Pedagogy and attention to diversity, and teachers linked to the UAB’s Neurosciences Institute, which will teach subjects related to the field of Neurosciences and Neuro-education.

The development of this training program will help to cover the needs from educators with experience in the educational field, which wish to get new knowledge about neurological processes related to various emotional states or diverse mental situations, as well as specific strategies that help to boost learning in this kind of students in an educational context. Thus, it will meet the demands of INACAP (Chile) about boosting educators’ professional training in competencies and skills that help them improve the attention to their students in their country, given the few experience in their national context in this topic.

The mission of INACAP, linked to Universidad Tecnológica de Chile, is training people with values and skills that can help them develop as a responsible citizens and be integrated autonomously and with productivity to society, then, contributing to improve the concurrency of different productive sectors in their country through the development of their human capital and technological innovation.
