On Thursday, November 10, the opening ceremony of our center took place at the Faculty of Education Sciences of the UAB.

On Thursday, November 10, at 6:00 p.m., the opening ceremony of the CRiEDO took place at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the UAB. Our center, which gathers the experience and trajectory of the EDO group for more than 30 years, is an academic institution dedicated to the analysis and development of organizations linked to training and education. The Vice President for Quality of the UAB, Tatiana Rovira Faixa, the director of the CRiEDO center, Joaquín Gairín Sallán, and the Secretary for Educational Transformation of the Government of Catalonia, Núria Mora Lorente, attended.

The international expert in educational leadership Beatriz Pont Ferrer, from the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning, gave the conference "Leading educational change: key skills for improvement". Throughout her career, Beatriz Pont has worked and reported on education policy, educational change, and educational leadership in countries around the world. She has also worked at the OECD, from where she launched and led support for educational change in OECD countries. She has worked with many different countries accompanying them in their school reform and improvement efforts. She has been a researcher for the Economic and Social Council of the Government of Spain. She has a doctorate in Political Science from the Complutense University of Madrid and a master's degree in International Relations from Columbia University. She is an honorary doctorate from Sheffield Hallam University (UK). She is a professor of comparative educational policy in Paris. She has lectured internationally on educational change and leadership.

After Beatriz Pont's conference, the round table "Educational leadership for change and the role of training" was held, moderated by María del Mar Duran Bellonch (CRiEDO-UAB) and with the participation of the Secretary for Transformation Educator of the Government of Catalonia, Núria Mora Lorente, the professor at the University of Lérida, Isabel del Arco Bravo, and the representative of the College of Pedagogy of Catalonia, Joan Gamero Gómez.

At the end of the event, the 1st CRiEDO Prize for Innovation and Development of Educational and Training Institutions was awarded, which was presented by Professor Gemma Paris Romia, from CRiEDO-UAB.

The Center for Research and Studies for Organizational Development (CRiEDO) aims to study, investigate, teach and do any other activity related to the organizational development of training organizations. More specifically, to provide a service of the highest quality and social commitment aimed at the improvement, innovation and development of organizations dedicated to training, based on processes of reflection and scientific analysis, the design and implementation of actions aimed at improvement and evaluation processes and institutional diagnosis.

The center concentrates a network of more than 200 organizations at a national and international level, with which it collaborates to analyze the processes involved in the management of training centers. It has carried out international projects that have been recognized by the European Union as being of high quality, for example ORACLE and UrBIOfuture, and has been recognized by Editorial Comares as one of the research centers with the greatest social impact at the Ibero-American level. The teaching staff that is part of it has received the Vicenç Vives Award for teaching quality.
