From March 12 to 15, 2024, the Rovira i Virgili University will host a new edition of the International Education and Technology Forum (FIET).
On this occasion, the FIET seeks to analyze the impact of digital technologies on education in the era of artificial intelligence, through the exploration of evidence collected in various contexts and educational levels, with a perspective that covers local, national and international scope. he participation of Professor Joaquín Gairín, director of the CRiEDO, in the thematic axis focused on educational processes in digital contexts in the line of educational policies is noteworthy. In addition, the professor and member of the CRiEDO, Cristina Mercader, will address the issue of responsible digital citizenship within the line of networks and citizen participation.
FIET 2024 is aimed at the entire educational community, including political leaders and technical staff, teachers, students, families, researchers and companies linked to the educational world, as well as society in general. Especially, it invites those interested in understanding how digitization and artificial intelligence are transforming our lives and how these changes affect and will affect education.
The FIET, inaugurated for the first time in 2014, was created as a meeting place where relevant figures in the international field, linked to the world of education and technology, reflected on their transformative role in a digital environment. Its objectives include contributing to the improvement of education through analysis, debate, formulation of proposals and dissemination with a transformative perspective. In addition, it seeks to establish a dialogue between Education and Technology, exploring the potential and risks of artificial intelligence applied to education.
