The FEAE Conference: the evaluation for professional improvement

The conference, based at the University of Lleida, aims at making itself a meeting space and reflection environment of the different practices of professional evaluation that take place in the Spain and in other countries, with the object to learn, get to know and share experiences. This conference comes at the moment when the education authorities introduced new policies that they want to give increased autonomy to educational institutions, with the conviction that a greater degree of autonomy will help the improvement of educational practices. The establishment of their own educational projects adapted to the peculiarities of the environment can be very helpful to obtain better academic results, but requires both a solid leadership and policy of planned and systematic evaluation the results with consideration of different indicators quality defined by each school.

During the days of the conference different EDO group members participate into round-table discussion as well as in the presentation of various communications related to some of the projects and areas of research which is currently open to the group.
