End of a Research Stay

Aleix Barrera, EDO-member, finishes a 3-month post-doctoral research stay as Visiting Scholar in the Graduate School of Education of the University of Bristol (United Kingdom), under the supervision of Dr. Lisa Lucas, who is an specialist in higher education policies in a global context and interested in access and equity policies within that educational level. The possibility to develop this stay was thanks to the economic support of Societat Econòmica Barcelonesa Amics del País (SEBAP), through their program “Aids to university mobility” 2016 call.

During those three months, Dr. Barrera has contacted experts and academics from University of Bristol, University of Bath and University of West England, which helped him to carry on with the knowledge and understanding of institutional policies of university inclusion for vulnerable groups, especially for non-traditional students. Furthermore, during the stay, it’s been possible to move forward with activities coordination related to the joint projects between UAB and U. of Bristol, as weel as exploring new ways of future collaboration between both institutions.
