CRiEDO members at AERA 2021

On April 9th, professors Anna Díaz, Cristina Mercader and Georgeta Ion presented the communication "Making Steps Toward Fair Assessment Through Self and Peer Assessment: Findings From a Catalán University". This contribution, framed within the line of work "Reflections on responsibilities related to evaluation and evaluation efforts in different contexts, roles and ladders", explores how university students can participate in the evaluation process through peer evaluation strategies . This article investigates students' perceptions of the contribution of self-evaluation and peer evaluation to enhance the sense of fairness and justice in the evaluation process. The study presented has been carried out within the framework of undergraduate studies in education at the UAB.

On April 12th, Professor Georgeta Ion participated as a speaker at the symposium "Learning Together: Researchers and Teachers' Collaboration as a Mechanism of Professional Development". This symposium, framed within the line of work on "School leadership professional development of teachers as a practice worldwide: roles of professional learning networks" focused on analyzing the potential of professional networks promoted by universities as mechanisms of teacher professional development. It explores: 1) the role of academic researchers, school leaders and teachers in PLN, 2) the dynamics of teacher-researcher interaction to favor the mobilization of knowledge and the improvement of teaching.

The congress, held online between April 8th and 12th, has had the motto "Accepting Educational Responsibility", has been organized by the American Educational Research Association (AERA). The main objective of the AERA is to improve the educational process by promoting academic research related to education and evaluation, as well as promoting the dissemination and practical application of the results of the research. For this reason, it organizes this congress every year to make the latest research results known to the international scientific community.
