On 19 February, has signed a collaboration agreement between the UAB and the Mapfre Foundation for the development of the study entitled "Uses and abuses of new technologies in adolescents."

On February 19 was signed at the headquarters of the Mapfre Foundation research contract between the Institute for Prevention, Health and Environment Foundation EDURisc Mapfre and equipment linked to the UAB EDO whose main purpose is the development of the study: 'Uses and abuses of new technologies in adolescents'.

The call for 2012 has been the most applications and projects received a total of 1,875 proposals for all categories. Our project has been selected along with other 9 in the category of 'prevention' of between 252 applications received from across Latin America. The budget is € 15,000 and the team, what are Joaquin Gairín, Diego Castro (Ed.), M ª José Bartrina, Anna Diaz, Pere Marquis, Martha Porter and David Rodriguez.

The project aims to develop and disseminate guidance and code of practice for the responsible use of Information Technology and Communication (ICT). And operational objectives are formulated as:
a. Will evaluate the current use of Spanish adolescents do ICT and hazard perception of abuse that have on them.
b. Analyze the actions performed by high schools and vocational schools / school to promote healthy and safe habits in the use of ICT.
c. Develop a code of practice and guidance for the responsible use of Information Technology and Communication (ICT).
d. Disseminate guidance and code of practice for the responsible use of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) among educators.
