ASCENT meeting in Barcelona

On July 10th, 11th and 12th, the 3rd Meeting of the ASCENT project is taking place in Bellaterra.
In order to meet and manage the ASCENT project, from July 10th to 12th, project members will meet in Barcelona to discuss the relevant topics of the project.
The development of the project "ASCENT - Centers of Competence for Automotive Engineering and Sales Management to increase the positive impact on regional economic development in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico" seeks to break the current gap between the needs of the labor market and educational offers supporting the IES in advancing their knowledge in automotive engineering and sales.
The meeting takes place in the Faculty of Education Sciences of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. To start the first day, today July 10th, has been held by the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences, Joaquín Gairín and Eva Penz, project manager of the project. Next, the project has been presented, as well as the results achieved so far and the feedback that has been obtained by different agents involved in its development. To end the day, presentations have been made on the process of purchasing materials for the installation of competitive centers that have been carried out in the different Latin American universities.
Tomorrow, the meeting will focus on the presentations and discussions on the ASCENT network, on the next steps that the project should follow and the distribution of the tasks to be carried out. Finally, a training visit will be carried out to SEAT Spain, since its productive activity is directly linked to the objectives pursued within the framework of the project. The last day, Friday, July 12th, the objectives will be set for the next months, as well as the main activities in which the partners will have to work.
