Professor Aleix Barrera has been appointed as the new coordinator of the Degree in Pedagogy at the UAB, taking over from Professor Patricia Olmos, who has been the coordinator until now. Likewise, Professor Cristina Mercader has been appointed as the new coordinator of the Degree in Primary Education at the UAB, taking over from Professor Emilie Moore, who has been the coordinator until now.
Aleix Barrera Corominas has a degree in Pedagogy and Labor Sciences, a Dipomat in Labor Relations, a Master in Human Resources Management and a Doctor in Quality and Educational Innovation Processes (UAB). He has been a professor in the Department of Applied Pedagogy at the UAB since 2012, and a member of the Organizational Development Team since 2007. He has been a visiting professor at the University of Bristol. For more than 15 years he has been a Research Project Manager, from which he has collaborated in more than 60 national and international educational research projects. Among other activities, he is currently a member of the European Forum of Education Administrators in Catalonia, coordinator of the publication “Fórum: Journal of Educational Organization and Management” (Ed. Graó), member of the Social Council of the College of Pedagogy of Catalonia and participant of the Educational Management Support Network.
Cristina Mercader Juan has a PhD in Education, Master in Educational Planning and Management, Master in Research in Education and Diploma in Primary Education Teaching. She teaches in the Dept. of Applied Pedagogy of the UAB to undergraduate, postgraduate and master’s degrees in educational technology subjects. She is coordinator of the subjects of Digital and Socio-emotional Education and Technologies for Learning and Knowledge. In research, he has participated in several competitive projects funded at the institutional, regional, state and international levels aimed at improving educational organizations, digital technologies for education and evaluation for learning, the results of which he has published in various impact journals and in the form of teaching materials available in open access. In addition, she has experience in coordinating institutional and international projects (Erasmus +). Throughout her career, she has been a member of various regional and institutional work commissions focused on the deployment of digital teaching competence in education studies, as well as the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education.
