The president of the international RedAGE network (Dr. Joaquín Gairín Sallán) participated, during the week of July 21, in several activities organized by RedAGE Uruguay, among which the following stand out:
- A meeting with the President of the Association (Dr. Andrea Tejera Techera) and the Executive Committee of RedAGE Uruguay, to learn about and support its activities. These include: reviewing commitments related to the association’s website, expanding membership and institutional partnerships, developing the Gestiónarte journal, planning actions in case they host the 2026 Congress and General Assembly, and organizing activities in cities beyond Montevideo.
- A colloquium café held at ORT University on “AI and Digital Technologies in Educational Centers,” which saw a large public turnout. Topics discussed included active support for integrating these technologies into curricular activities, debunking myths and false stereotypes, and the importance of rethinking teaching and learning systems in light of these new technologies.
