The 9th International Conference on Computer Supported Education was held in Oporto (Portugal), on the 21-23 of April, 2017.

On April 21, 22 and 23, 2017, the IX International Conference was held in Porto (Portugal) with the motto "Education Supported by Computer", organized by the International Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication. The conference focused on the state of art and the future of such education, as well as on the pedagogical potential of new teaching and learning technologies for university education and business.

Participants received quality training from speakers of 28 countries with extensive experience in education based on new technologies and research conducted there including open and distance education online. Among the speakers was Dr. Renata Marciniak, collaborator with the EDO-UAB group, who, through an oral communication and a poster, presented her research carried out within her doctoral thesis titled "Self-evaluation of virtual university education programs, directed By Dr. Joaquín Gairín Sallán and defended at the UAB in November last year.

Throughout the conference the following issues were addressed:

1. Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) that support learning.
2. Methodologies of learning / teaching and evaluation in the education supported by the TICs.
3. Social context and virtual learning environments.
4. Application domain and case study.
5. Learning located.
6. Artificial intelligence and its application in education

The conference was structured in symposia, communication tables and posters, which were published in a book of minutes.
