This study is based on the above parameters and attempts to analyse ways to ensure that these external reports have a greater impact and are more useful for educational centres. Some possibilities are suggested, but the greatest learning will surely come from putting some of the proposals into practice and from their ongoing review.
Its structure consists of four well-differentiated parts, as well as bibliographical references and appendices. The first presents the design and development of the study, and notes its extension to three autonomous communities and the collaboration of three universities.
The second chapter reviews some issues related to change in educational centres, taking into account what is intended to be promoted with external reports. In particular, it focuses on relational processes (climate and culture of the centre) and on the role of the directors, as they are the references on which there is a certain unanimity among scholars of change and innovation.
The results of the activities carried out in the centres are collected and discussed in Chapter 3, taking into account the conceptual model of intervention presented in Section 1.2.1. The field activities carried out focus mainly on the use of the PISA Report, but the use of other external reports is also addressed, such as those related to basic competences or those linked to external institutional evaluation processes, given the relevant information they can provide to the objectives of the study. Chapter 4 presents the conclusions and proposals that are a direct result of the study carried out, ordered according to the objectives stated in the design.
