This report reviews the formats and processes related to blended learning in higher education institutions and universities within the Ibero-American context. Its aim is to present, comment on, and assess the presence of these hybrid training programs in universities. The content focuses on how universities in each country manage hybrid training programs, understood as those that combine face-to-face processes with e-learning activities in a balanced way.

Thus, fully face-to-face programs are excluded, even if they use a virtual platform to support content, as well as e-learning programs that include only occasional in-person sessions. The various chapters address specific aspects of the development of hybrid or blended learning in different Ibero-American countries.

More specifically, the report refers to the regulations and guidelines governing hybrid university education, the advantages and disadvantages identified in each context, the challenges and issues that arise, the presentation of noteworthy experiences, and evaluations related to better management of these challenges. The report not only follows a common structure, allowing for comparative analysis between countries, but also includes a dedicated section for each country, aiming to synthesize both general aspects and specific characteristics of each.

A total of 48 specialists from 15 Ibero-American countries contribute their studies and assessments on the topic of blended education in Ibero-American universities, which is considered a relevant and timely issue. The ultimate goal is to provide society, educational system leaders, and higher education institutions with a detailed report on existing educational practices and their outcomes.

This fulfills, once again, the purpose of the Educational Management Support Network (RedAGE) to publish an annual report on key aspects of educational organization and management. The topic and structure of the report were discussed and approved at the annual meeting held in Villahermosa (Mexico) on June 4, 2022, where some of the challenges and issues related to the chosen topic were also analyzed.

The various contributions aim to reflect the reality in each country as seen by the authors of the national reports. The goal is not so much to identify all existing initiatives, but rather to highlight significant contributions and provide a qualified assessment of the current situation and future perspectives on the topic. We hope the stated purpose has been achieved and that the result is of interest to specialists and stakeholders.
