This document has been prepared within the framework of the project “Educational practices based on scientific evidence: design and validation of strategies for improvement of the educational centers (PBE-Tools) “, coordinated by Joaquin Gairin and Georgeta Ion and financed by the State R + D + i Program, oriented to the Challenges of Society of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (Ref. EDU2017-88711 -R)
The guide aims to provide educational centers with tools to guide them in the process of creating an organizational culture that encourages the use of scientific evidence as a common practice in educational improvement processes. The guide has been developed through a collaborative work process between management teams and teachers from educational centers in Madrid and Barcelona and researchers from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the Complutense University of Madrid and the University of Durham.
The guide is structured in three blocks with:
- support to the process of design, validation and implementation of strategies and instruments that promote the use of evidence in processes of reflection and improvement of educational practices,
- glossary in order to provide a common conceptual framework,
- It includes a section to expand knowledge in which a series of resources is suggested that may be useful when continuing to inquire about Evidence-Based Educational Practices.
