This document has been prepared within the framework of the project “Educational practices based on scientific evidence: design and validation of strategies for improvement of the educational centers (PBE-Tools) “, coordinated by Joaquin Gairin and Georgeta Ion and financed by the State R + D + i Program, oriented to the Challenges of Society of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (Ref. EDU2017-88711 -R)

The guide aims to provide educational centers with tools to guide them in the process of creating an organizational culture that encourages the use of scientific evidence as a common practice in educational improvement processes. The guide has been developed through a collaborative work process between management teams and teachers from educational centers in Madrid and Barcelona and researchers from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​the Complutense University of Madrid and the University of Durham.

The guide is structured in three blocks with:

  • support to the process of design, validation and implementation of strategies and instruments that promote the use of evidence in processes of reflection and improvement of educational practices,
  • glossary in order to provide a common conceptual framework,
  • It includes a section to expand knowledge in which a series of resources is suggested that may be useful when continuing to inquire about Evidence-Based Educational Practices.
