The University and disability conference. Tutorial action plan aims to be a meeting place to work on and discuss the “Tutorial action plan for university students with disabilities”, designed as part of the project Tutorial action plan for university students with disabilities financed by the Ministry of Education through the Comprehensive Attention and Employability of University Students Program.
The aim of this project is to design a Tutorial Action Plan for students with disabilities according to what is established in the UAB Student Statute. This plan takes into account the specific needs of students with disabilities and adapts to the requirements of the European higher education area.
The final recipients of the project are, consistently with the proposed objective, students with disabilities enrolled at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, although the implementation of the plan must have the participation of PIUNE, the dean’s team of different faculties of the university – which should name a tutor responsible for the center – and the teaching staff.
The Conference is structured around two basic activities. The first of them consists of the organization of working groups that will allow the validation of the tutorial action guide that the group has drawn up based on the developed project. The second consists of a round table in which different policies and strategies for the promotion of the inclusive University will be presented. This last activity, which will be open to the entire university community, will have the presence of experts on the subject, professionals who develop their daily activity with students with disabilities and also a representative of the students.
