The International Congress “Educational Institutions as promoters of Social Community development” is being developed as the final activity of the IDEAS Project “Initiatives for the Educational and Social Community Development and”, underwritten by PROEDUCA program of the Public Education Minister of Costa Rica and by European Union, and deployed by Organizational Development Team (EDO) and the Technologic Institute of Costa Rica.
The purpose of the Congress is to gather the maximum number of authorities, teachers and managers of educational institutions, regional directors of education, counsellors of youth and adults, pedagogues, social educators, administrative staff, university researchers, experts and other professionals related to it and interested on socio-educational intervention in those groups that, historically, has had more difficulties to carry on their studies.
This activity will act like a forum for presenting the main results achieved by IDEAS project, as well as the activities developed and incorporated in those night-shift centres that are participated in the training and consulting activities promoted by IDEAS. Likewise, it will be a space for sharing thoughts, success experiences and strategies that enable to incorporate new practices and enhancement plans that will promote a renovation of institutional policies. Also, curricular proposals of new teaching-learning processes as well as guidance and support that will help to improve the integration and equity of vulnerable groups inside the educational system.
