Coordination meeting of the BIObec project in Ireland

Date of the scientific meeting: 26/06/2023

On June 26 and 27, a new meeting of the BIObec project will take place in Ireland.

BIObec aims to build bridges between the bio-based industry and the education system by interlinking universities, innovation labs, and R&D centers with industrial actors and regions. In order to achieve this, the project proposes a holistic framework that combines the traditional idea of an educational center with that of a knowledge center.

The CRiEDO team, a partner in this Horizon 2020 European Project, coordinates the development of the governance plans of the Bio-Based Education Centres. 6 centres are participating in this project. The main objective of these governance plans is to help manage the internal operations, staff expertise and data sharing within the organization and with its context. Therefore, the team has designed the following structure for the governance plans:

  1. Context of the action, which includes a general description of the socio-economic and regulatory context.
  2. Institutional objectives, which includes the mission and vision of the center and the main values that will guide its development.
  3. Operational structures, which includes information on the structure of human, material and functional resources.
  4. Management and operation, with information on the direction of the center.
  5. Relational systems, which includes information on the management of information in the center and in its immediate context.
  6. Institutional dynamics, which includes the most relevant aspects of the center’s daily activity.
