The aim of this research was to explore the results of implementing the Student’s Portfolio Methodological Guide (GMPE, in Spanish) of Preschool Education student’s. This guide is a source for collecting orientations, directives, lines and contents for grasping the Preschool Education student’s portfolio. The GMPE has two steps. The first, named as Teaching Performance Guide (GAPD, in Spanish), is dedicated to coach Preschool Education students. The second step is dedicated to think over and improve teaching performance. As a didactical source, the GMPE was used for including in a systemic way the teaching performance into the Preschool Education student’s portfolio. Based on action research and case studies approaches, it was developed some facing-children working tools (GAPD) and others for a post-collegiate and merged analyzing and evaluation of teaching performance. The set of these post-collegiate tools –which was the second step of the GMPE- was drawn up a set of transverse categories. These tools were elaborated in a way that they were able to offer comparative and complementary abilities for thinking up and improving the teaching performance. The results showed that whilst the post-collegiate tools based on a questionnaire were strong able to collect information about the design, relevance, advantages and disadvantages of the GMPE, the collegiate tools not related to the questionnaire (Discussion group and Performance daybook) collected the most of the data about the learning- teaching process, teachers self-evaluation and the evaluation efficiency. The contrast between the data about the contents of the GMPE and the teaching performance in a more conceptual sense enriched the analysis and was an opportunity for getting more elaborated data by crossing them. The results suggested that the GMPE is a relevant tool for undergraduate Preschool Education students because this tool organizes and give currency and support to them by coaching these students on the curricular approach of their undergraduate program.
