Avaluació del programa “Del Laberint als Somnis”

The Gran Teatre del Liceu develops the LiceuAprèn program, a global educational program that, from values such as accessibility, equity, respect, creativity, sensitivity, and coexistence, is committed to people, their growth, and their learning. Within this program, one of the lines of action is the development of participatory projects, which seek to give young people from different schools and educational centers the opportunity to participate in the process of creating an opera alongside a professional artistic team, culminating in a performance in the Gran Sala of the Theater. During the 2023-2024 school year, respecting the uniqueness of each center and their respective educational projects, LiceuAprèn has accompanied the centers to implement the experience “From the Labyrinth to Dreams,” as a preliminary step for the next year’s performance of the work “The Monster in the Labyrinth,” an opera by Jonathan Dove that, commissioned by Simon Rattle at the head of the London Symphony Orchestra, was conceived as a participatory opera, with the idea that teenagers and young people could share the stage with professionals from music and performing arts. The goal of LiceuAprèn is for the development of this project to become an impactful and transformative artistic experience for the participating students and, as much as possible, for the centers. The objectives of the evaluation of the first phase linked to the experience “From the Labyrinth to Dreams” are: a) To analyze whether the design and development of the project From the Labyrinth to Dreams meet the purposes and objectives of the program; also to identify aspects of its impact; b) Process or development evaluation, with the aim of understanding the implementation process of the project’s activities according to the objectives and schedule set out and, on the other hand, to obtain the necessary information to make comments that ensure its better functioning; and c) Final or Results evaluation. The ultimate purpose of the report is to inform about the process and results of the project executed in this first year of its implementation, while facilitating the reflection and improvement process it should serve.
