From May 21 to 23, 2025, the Iberian Observatory of Educational Leadership (in spanish, Observatorio Ibérico de Liderazgo Educativo – EDULID) organized a series of activities in northern Portugal, coinciding with the celebration of its International Seminar on “Educational Leadership, Learning, and Inclusion.” The event was held in collaboration with the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya.
During those days, a delegation made up of university faculty and school principals from Catalonia visited various educational institutions and took part in working meetings. The goal was to gain first-hand insight into local educational practices, share experiences, and strengthen collaboration between schools in both countries.
On May 21, after arriving in Porto, the delegation visited the Directorate-General for School Establishments and the Faculty of Education and Psychology. Meetings were also held focusing on the EDULID project and support strategies for schools. The day concluded with a visit to the municipal Department of Education and a school cluster.
May 22 was dedicated to visiting several school clusters and schools in the region. At each institution, meetings were held with leadership teams to discuss topics such as pedagogical leadership, inclusion, and learning assessment. These visits allowed for the exchange of ideas and exploration of different educational approaches.
On May 23, the International Seminar took place at the Carvalho Guerra Auditorium of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. The day included opening sessions, discussion panels, and round tables on educational leadership, learning quality, and assessment. Academics and education professionals participated, and the seminar served as a space for sharing knowledge and experiences.
