Barcelona Dibuixa 2025

On Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a free collaborative workshop led by Gemma París will take place at the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC).

As part of the Barcelona Dibuixa 2025 festival, artist and educator Gemma París presents a unique proposal at MNAC that connects art, nature, and well-being. The collaborative workshop, titled “Their Names Escape Us. Plant Archive in the Museum and the Mountain”, invites participants to observe plant species inside and outside the museum to create a community archive on a large shared calligraphic paper.

Inspired by the reflections of philosopher Emanuele Coccia in The Life of Plants, the proposal highlights the relationship between the plant world and our ability to perceive and represent it, advocating drawing as a tool for connecting with our surroundings.

In addition to the workshop, a self-guided drawing resource will be launched and made available at MNAC during the Healing Arts Barcelona week (October 20–26), an international initiative that promotes physical, mental, and social well-being through the arts, supported by the Barcelona City Council, ICUB, MNAC, Jameel Arts & Health Lab, WHO, and the Departments of Culture and Health of the Government of Catalonia.
