The creation and management of collective knowledge recognizes professionals as the basis of change and improvement in organizations. Faced with approaches that promote change by imitating more or less successful models, the construction of the same is proposed based on the experience of the protagonists. The development of organizational proposals that involve those affected is supported by knowledge of reality, beyond promoting the feeling of belonging and strengthening the collective project, and guarantees more real, feasible and lasting improvements. This text, the result of a line of research spanning several years, provides reflections, experiences, strategies and instruments to address the creation, development and evaluation of communities of professional practice. Its practical orientation and proven validity of the proposals make it a unique product for all those interested in the development of organizations.
