On 9, 10 and 11 September 2026, the 6th coordination meeting of the FUESE Project will take place, bringing together the universities that are part of the project consortium. The meeting will be coordinated by the Regional University of Guatemala (UREGIONAL) and the University of San Carlos of Guatemala (USAC), and will be held in Guatemala City and Antigua Guatemala.

The CRiEDO professors Cecilia Suárez, Joaquín Gairín and Diego Castro will participate in this meeting. This sixth meeting represents the final coordination gathering of the project before the Closing Congress, scheduled for 26 and 27 November 2026 in Panama. The FUESE Project will officially conclude on 1 January 2027.
The planned objectives include: 1. Presenting the Model for the Evaluation of the Impact of University Extension Policies and Practices. 2. Promoting the dissemination of the book on the FUESE Project. 3. Assessing the project’s future prospects in order to support its continuity.
The FUESE Project, funded under the ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE-STRAND-2 call, has had a duration of three years. Its purpose has been to strengthen the impact of higher education institutions on the socio-economic ecosystem through the evaluation of their impact and the transformation of institutional University Extension policies and practices in Central America.
The FUESE consortium is made up of 14 institutions: 12 Central American organizations (UDELAS, UNACHI, UNA, UNED, UNAH, UPNFM, UGB, UES, URG, USAC, FUNDAMERICAS and FUNDEPREDI) from Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala, together with two European universities: the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the University of Bremen (UBREMEN), Germany.
