The FUESE Project aims to strengthen the impact of higher education institutions within the socio‑economic ecosystem through impact assessment and the transformation of institutional policies and practices.
In this context, the meeting held in Barcelona aims to monitor the activities carried out during the third year of the project and to define the next steps. Over the three days of the meeting, participants will work on the development of the Impact Assessment Toolbox and on strategies for transforming university structures. They will also attend an Open Forum coordinated by the Autonomous Solidarity Foundation and the Institute of Education Sciences of the UAB.
FUESE is based on the consideration of a Culture of Equity as a reference framework. Through University Extension policies and practices, higher education institutions can strengthen their social impact by promoting the development of socio‑economic capacities in objectively vulnerable groups. Likewise, through cultural, socio‑community, employability and entrepreneurship promotion actions, and by leveraging knowledge, transfer and innovation from the university sphere in collaboration with the private sector, the university’s commitment to inclusive social development is reinforced.
