The main objective of this ASCENT conference is to inaugurate the ASCENT Network and promote the importance of automotive engineering. It will have the participation of some recognized international experts.
The ASCENT project was born from the current development in the automotive industry in Latin America. Argentina and Mexico are two countries in the growth phase in this market, while in Brazil the industry is currently stagnant due to the limited capacity to react to new market demands. However, the three countries are the most important for the automotive industry in Latin America with a strong focus especially on production. Even so, these countries and the companies working in the territory share the same need: the increase of automotive engineering experts to increase development and production capabilities. In other words, ASCENT aims to contribute to the training of highly qualified engineers in the participating Latin American countries.
