Mobile devices are central to our lives, affecting both adults and young people. The enthusiasm of young people for technology often causes concern and family conflicts for parents. On a social level, the excessive use of technology among young people leads to problems such as bullying and cyberbullying, and many schools have banned mobile phones for this reason. Excessive screen time is associated with poorer health outcomes and addiction problems. In schools, the debate about the use of mobile phones continues, with divided opinions between banning them or integrating them as an educational tool. The CONNECTED AND CONSCIOUS project explores students’ perceptions to develop educational and cooperation strategies aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To do this, the project proposes 4 objectives:
- Identify the use students make of screens.
- Understand their opinion on the use of screens in Higher Education.
- Gather their proposals on the usefulness of screens in teaching-learning processes.
- Diagnose their level of awareness about the effects of screen abuse on health.
