María Verónica Leiva Guerrero obtained a doctorate in Didactics in Educational Sciences at the University of Oviedo, Spain, previously she completed a master’s degree in Educational Evaluation, a post-graduate degree in Pedagogical Processes, mentioning Curricular Management at the University of Santiago de Chile, a degree in Education and Pedagogy in General Basic Education at the University of Playa Ancha in Valparaíso, Chile. She is currently Professor of the School of Pedagogy at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile, attached to the Pedagogical Component of the School of Pedagogy of the PUCV. Among her activities, she directed the Master’s Program in Leadership and Management in School Organizations (2017-2023), Coordinator of the Basic Education Area Committee, National Accreditation Commission, CNA (2021 to date). National Coordinator of the School Leadership Line, Sumo Primero en Terreno Program MINEDUC-PUCV (2019-2021). Director of the Journal Perspectiva Educacional (2009-2019), Head of Career of Pedagogy in Basic Education (2012), Head of Research School of Pedagogy (2010-2011), Director of the Project Mecesup UCV0712 Curricular Renewal Based on Resul.
Research lines: His research focuses specifically on Educational Policies in the areas of Educational Management, School Leadership and educational evaluation, with research projects and publications in this area.
