María Adriana Canales Quezada

PhD Student in education

Graduated in Filmmaking and Photography Direction, and as a Professor of Visual Arts in Santiago de Chile. In addition, she has completed a Master of Research in Education from the UAB. In the workplace, she worked in audiovisual for more than 10 years, and as a film and visual arts teacher at different educational levels for almost 15 years. She is currently researching the ideas of the Culture of Childhood, which emerge from spontaneous videos created by girls and boys, in the free time of a public school, alive and active in Barcelona.

Thesis title: Confluence: Spontaneous Videos of Childhood in the context of free time from school. Understanding and reflection in artistic practice from a decolonizing perspective.
